Authorization in the Steam Desktop Authenticator
To use the "Sending" you need to log in to Steam Desktop Authenticator. This program allows you to obtain authorization codes on the computer and to perform the exchanges automatically, without user intervention.
If you haven't linked a mobile authenticator to the Steam account, then run Steam Desktop Authenticator:
- click "Add account" enter the login name and password
- enter the received SMS code
- be sure to maintain the reset code (In case you lose the program you will require the Steam support)
- waiting for 15 days, after which you can make exchanges
If you have previously used the program Steam Desktop Authenticator and logged in it, you can go to the SDA and import maFile account from another folder, as shown in the picture below
If your account was already tied to a mobile authenticator on your iOS device, you need to unbind, rebind the account to the SDA and wait for 15 days, other options very difficult to implement, if you manage to extract the files from iOS devices and configure the Steam Desktop Authenticator, please contact us.
If your account was already tied to a mobile authenticator on your Android device, you have two options
- unlink and re-link your account to the SDA, and then wait for 15 days
- use the instructions below and wait for 15 days, but it will take some effort
The transfer of the authenticator from your Android device in the Steam Desktop Authenticator.
You can use the built in SDA the auto import feature with your android device. See the SDA File->Import account>From the android device
Function does not always work correctly, so if you do not succeed - do not worry, for you manual below
Note: you need root rights!
- Extract the folder data\data\com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community with your device or emulator. I recommend the program Root Explorer. After extraction stored in this folder on your PC.
- Go to the folder with the bot "ProgramFiles/maFiles" and rename the file "manifest!scr.json" in "manifest.json".
- Now open the renamed file (the manifest.json) and replace it in "steamid64" SteamID on your steam account that is saved. Your SteamID64, you can find at this link https://steamid.io/lookup (Insert link to your profile and press lookup)
- Then rename the file "steamid64.maFile". Instead of "steamid64" you need to enter your SteamID.
Then open the renamed "steamid64.maFile" file and see there are different fields. They need to fill. To do this, we perform the following steps
- Open "com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community\files\Steamguard-**********" and transfer the parameters in the fields in our "steamid64.maFile" file.
- We have empty fields in our file, device_id taken from "com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community\shared_prefs\steam.uuid.xm". Should be something like this android:e6ec8542-0b8a-1ca5-b746-5f49546bd95c
- There is one more IMPORTANT field, "OAuthToken". Open "com.valvesoftware.android.steam.community\app_cache_i\login.json" and pulled out the "access_token"
- At the end of the file, in the "SteamID" you need to add your SteamID
- Fields SessionID, SteamLogin, SteamLoginSecure, WebCookie can be empty, they will fill in after relogin
Here is a sample of a true "steamid64.maFile" file:

Ready! After starting Steam Desktop Authenticator to your account should appear in the list. If no, then you have done something right!
NOTE: you must HAVE configured the SDA in the folder with the bot. After setting the SDA it is up to you to control it manually. You don't need to run SDA with the bot, it will only interfere with the transfer.
Setup a Steam account
Now that you've configured Steam Desktop Authenticator, you can move on to configuring the program. Run CounterBot, go to "Settings" and enter the data from your Steam account. Also, you need to create a Steam Api key, click on the button and you will be taken to the page creation. In the Domain field, enter anything and click create.
After entering all the data click "Validate", if you did everything right, you will see this window
Now click "Save settings" if you all are correct, then after a few seconds, all Menu items will become active. If you did everything right, but the items did not, try to restart the program.
ATTENTION! If you enter incorrect data and check more than three times, you will be blocked Steam(om) for 15 minutes! When saving you data is invalid, the program will not work!
Your data is not transmitted to our server, everything is stored only on your PC. Any data leak could only come from you!
